Policies

As a church, we take our responsibilities very seriously. We work hard to keep all those who are part of our community safe from harm or exploitation. From the folks who grow the Fairtrade tea and coffee, we drink to the children and any adults at risk who attend our services, we make sure we have the highest standards of care.

All of our leadership team, pastoral visitors, and children & youth workers undergo an enhanced DBS check before they are able to volunteer. We all also regularly undergo safeguarding training to make sure we follow best practices in all of our activities.

Our safeguarding officer is Judith Cole and if you have any concerns or want to report a safeguarding incident, past or present, you can contact her on:

judithcole9999@outlook.com.

Alternatively, the safeguarding officer for the Southampton Methodist District is Jane Fisher and she can be contacted for advice or to raise a concern at:

Email: safeguarding@sdmc.org.uk
Tel: 07840 186814

We also take our responsibilities under GDPR legislation seriously.  Below you will find both our safeguarding and GDPR policies.
